COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTERS
CPS Community Learning Centers (CLCs) serve as hubs for a range of community services and provide a system of integrated partnerships that promote academic excellence and offer recreational, educational, social, health, civic and cultural opportunities for students, families and the community. ABC serves as lead agency for five CLCs: Aiken High School, Silverton Paideia Academy, Winton Hills Academy, Frederick Douglas Elementary, and Roselawn Condon Elementary School. As lead agency, ABC employees Resource Coordinators to assist schools in meeting its community goals through programs and services, establishing a direct link to the community it serves.
Working with local arts partners like Dramakinetics, Music Resource Center, Playhouse in the Park, and the Art Academy, the after-school Arts Enrichment program gave 7th and 8th graders at CPS high schools hands-on experience with the Arts – including drama, music, dance and visual arts.
