Vanessa Macy is the Member Services Manager for Activities Beyond the Classroom and joining the team in September 2022. Prior to working at ABC, she spent 17 years working in the museum field at Cincinnati Museum Center where she served in many roles such as Director of Cincinnati History Museum and Senior Director of Museum Experience where she oversaw operations and program
development for the Cincinnati History Museum, The Children’s Museum, and the Museum of Natural History & Science.
Vanessa earned her Master’s in Public History and Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Northern Kentucky University. For the past seven years she has been an adjunct professor at NKU teaching graduate students in their Public History program.
In her spare time, Vanessa serves as the Vice President of her local community group in Covington Ky. She is a wife, proud mom of two daughters who attend the University of Cincinnati, as well as mom to two Bernedoodles, an adorable rescue cat, and quite a few plants. She and her husband love to hike and camp and are currently trying to reach a goal of visiting every National Park.
